Like most things in life, it's all about compromise. Razors are no different, especially if you use cartridge shaving heads. They give you the same close shave as other Gillette 5-blade cartridges, of course not. But what it will give you is a fairly close shave (on par with Harry's or Dollar Shave Club) and great skin protection. I have been shaving my face daily for over 5 years and have always struggled with a small spot on my neck. which is prone to razor burn. After using these cartridges for more than a month, this small part has disappeared. If you're willing to give up a less close shave for less irritation, these cartridges are for you. But if you want the ultimate close shave or a razor that can handle decent stubble, this isn't for you. If you shave every day like me, I highly recommend these cartridges. They reduce irritation and provide a moderately close shave that you won't notice much of a difference with a daily shave.
