The problem with them is that they "wiggle" diagonally when you attach them to a flat surface. I thought it was just a bad one but tested the other one, same result. So be careful or they will scratch the surface you are attaching them to. The problem is simple. The stainless steel housing that the magnet sits in is DEEPER than the magnet itself. You can easily feel this if you touch the edge of the magnet with your finger, there is an edge up to the stainless steel which means the magnet is NOT flat rests on the surface, the stainless steel corners do this. It also means you won't get the best magnetic hold possible. I bought 1.75s a few years ago and they worked great, but after dropping them a few times a couple of magnets broke and I figured it was time to upgrade. You are incomparable. If it weren't for Covid I'd go to the local stationery store but wondering who could screw up a simple magnetic clip?
