My 92 year old mother and I love this bedside light. The only problem is that it's too sensitive and occurs when someone (or a pet) passes in the hallway outside their room. For this reason I set the slider to 30 sec and slightly muted. I placed the sensor vertically in front of her bed so I could see and adjust the controls. Since it has a wooden headboard, this was easy to do. (I had to use extra glue to stick the controller, but I blame myself for not cleaning the surface better beforehand.) It gave me a sense of relief to know that she didn't stand up and get out of bed and stumbled in bed. Darkness.
