I'm coming from a Netgear LTE modem which after a few hours loses internet connection or slows down to near zero even though I have basically all signal bars on. This would be fine after a reboot, but this is deprecated. I was looking for a business quality modem that could last 24 hours. Mofi was out of my price range but I stumbled across the Teltonika RUT240. First let me say that this is a very small metal modem which gives it a premium feel. It doesn't even feel warm after a few hours of use. It has external antennas which I assume are user upgradeable. I'm using this in bridge mode along with another WiFi router, so I'm not using my own WiFi. The LTE antennas seem decent, but I use a signal booster. It is loaded with features such as an automatic restart if the connection between countless functions is lost. I have to mention what I don't like about this product: the user interface is slow and not as sophisticated compared to more well-known brands and the documentation regarding the modem capability is lacking. Overall I am satisfied with this purchase. I get speeds that I didn't get from Netgear (almost double). Time will tell how this modem will perform when running 24/7. Update (12/5/19): The modem has been running continuously for about 3 days now. I read somewhere that the lost connections I experienced earlier could be caused by power surges and surges. Yes, there are still slowdowns and disconnects, but with this automatic modem restart feature, it takes care of itself if the connection drops, or I can remotely force a computer restart, saving me from climbing into the attic , where the modem stands. I ordered a UPS surge protector to see if all of these issues could be prevented completely.
