Neat design, not spicy

My husband had a stroke after which he could only use one hand. I'm constantly looking for products that will help him work more independently with one hand. This knife is designed for cutting with one hand. But you must use it properly and it must be sharpened. A regular knife sharpener won't work because the blade is very, very thick. I look forward to my son using his coffee grinder to sharpen the blade to the point where he can cut anything but bread, waffles, and other soft foods. My husband actually prefers to use the side of a cutting fork as the blade isn't sharp. So I have mixed feelings about this product. The concept is great. The tip serves to secure the knife, and then the swinging motion is meant to cut through the food. Again, it doesn't cut well here as it's not sharp.

Pros
  • Disposable plates, bowls and cutlery
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
