Yes, I had to drill new holes

If I always got up with the sun, I wouldn't need this curtain. The door is a notable source of night time light pollution. A normal window cover will not fit as the screen door is in the van door in our C Class. This window cover fits in between and blocks the light. To get dressed and undressed, of course, the door has to be open, so that has to be taken into account as well. How I installed it: 1) I attached the latches to the window cover with screws. (There are also latches for existing screws that didn't work for me.) 2) I put masking tape on the four spots on the window frame where the latches should end up. 3) I (slightly) stretched the window. Cover in place and used screws to mark with tape where I needed to drill the holes. 4) I used a suitable drill to make a pilot hole for each screw. 5) (Here it is.) I screwed in the screws. with latches and then attached the window covering to it. I'm not sure if I'm paying for the knobs or for the window cover itself, but basically I think I paid for the convenience of a bundled solution, and sometimes that's fine. It does the job.
