I have a brand new 2000 Jeep Wrangler that the fan was not working. After replacing the HVAC switch and realizing that that wouldn't help, I took the next step by ordering this resistor. After removing the old one, I found that it was rusted and clogged with years of dirt from the hood vent. Installation was easy and solved my problem...the fan works as it should. I recommend removing the actual fan housing from the engine bay to see if there are any perennial leaves stuck in the heater core like I did. I pulled out a few handfuls of leaves and then rinsed the entire hood so the water could properly drain onto the pavement. Now I don't lick in it anymore when it rains.
