Now, having worn many TuffRider breeches for my student, I find that they run small so I'm not deducting a star. You just have to plan accordingly. My daughter is not exactly 60 pounds and 52 inches tall. She wears a size 10 in them and the drawstring waist is a big plus (otherwise they would be too big on her waist). You tuck into boots and the bottom is like a neoprene material compared to the rest of the fleece lined material. They fit snugly around the calf region - as they should, but don't cause her any discomfort. We live in upstate New York and temperatures will be low this winter. We're both glad to have these thicker winter leggings!
