Review on πŸ”ͺ Ultimate Performance: Morakniv Floating Fixed-Blade Fine Edged Stainless Steel Knife by Aaron Villanueva

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Don't expect to fend off rogue pirates with Morata's first expensive knife.

Was very disappointed to see that this knife did not meet usual Mora standards. I have several Mora knives and I love every single one of them. And don't get me wrong, there are good things about the knife that I like: light weight, floating surface, rounded tip, good visibility. But the main thing is the shaft. It almost doesn't exist. You can feel the shaft flexing in the cork grip and it seems like it's only a matter of time before the cork starts to break as it isn't reinforced with cork over a harder material, it's almost soft. As others have said, the blade is also very thin. It cuts shrimp and bait, but you can't cut through big fish without damaging the knife or over-tightening the shaft in the handle. BOW! I REALLY wanted to like this knife, but it just isn't strong enough for a decent boat knife. Maura, if you can hear me. I think you could make a hollow air chamber in the grip and let the thin shaft go deeper in the grip for more support. This cork just won't hold! piss off!

Pros
  • 3.7" fixed blade swimming knife with serrated stainless steel blade and blunt end for boating, fishing and marine work
Cons
  • Zero
