Review on UClear Motion 6 Dual by Michael Vargas

We bought these units for off-road motorcycling. We wanted to be able to easily communicate back and forth on two different bikes. When we used the devices in a pre-trip test run, they seemed to work well, although voice transmission was a bit patchy (it's hard to understand what the other person was trying to communicate). While a little disconcerting, we REALLY liked how easily the devices connected to our phones so we could listen to music and switch between different songs. The speakers were also of better quality than our previous LEXIN units. So we decided to keep them for our big trip. The problems started on day one. Although our devices initially connected and we were able to communicate at first, they stopped working properly the same day. After an hour of driving, I heard my companion's voice, but she didn't hear my answers. It was the same every day - the devices seemed to work for about 30 minutes and then just wouldn't let us communicate effectively. Then, one fine day, my device refused to even turn on. Charged all night and nothing. So I was without my device for several days. The company answered our question about what needs to be done to fix this and gave us some advice. My device was working again before we followed the company's advice. We tried their fixes, but the devices' performance didn't improve. Then a few days later my device stopped working again (would not turn on after a full overnight charge). Also, my companion's mic/speaker port bent under normal use and wouldn't even reconnect to the device. We were going to stay in one place for about a week and the company told us that if their advice didn't resolve the issues they would send a replacement. At the time, my companion contacted them about sending replacement units, but the company hasn't responded to us yet (a month has passed since my companion requested replacement units). We are working on returning these devices. We are very unhappy with their performance in general.
