I've been wanting to switch to safety razors to save money, they're better for the environment and because I like a closer shave, but I've only tried one brand of blades and they just ripped my face apart. It was very embarrassing until I ordered them and tried wokshad russians or something and now I've switched to safety razors and will always use those russian blades.
