Review on Experience Optimal Trail Running Performance with πŸƒ Salomon Sense Shoes for Men in Vibrant Orange by Joe Bailey

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I got them for free after complaining on ebay BUT. 5 Stars

I received them in a package that looked like it was glued together. When I opened the box, the shoes were DEFINITELY returnable, with the label cut off and scuffs on the sides and bottom. In addition, the shoes made a clicking sound with every step. I contacted ebay to let them know I'm shipping used shoes and that I shouldn't pay full price. ebay told me to keep the shoes and refunded my money. Well maybe because they were free I decided to abuse them. And the abuse I've done I was shocked by the performance, especially after reading some of the reviews. First of all, this thing has GRIP. Wow. I've been using Nike Pegasus running shoes for a few years and they're great, but the grip is ridiculous and even dangerous. They slip on wet stone. But the Ride 4 has such a strong grip that I tried cleaning them on the welcome mat at my house and the shoes got stuck and wouldn't move. Here's the handle. Second, some complain about the violation of the lacing pattern. I don't even know why anyone has to wear these boots. If you choose the right size, once your foot is in, you'll never have to put them back on. They won't fly off your feet unless you're wearing a size 10 which for some reason MUST buy a size 12. I've put them on and off several times and never had to tighten them. Third, while there's no mention of water resistance on these sneakers, they're relatively good at it too. I ran through the puddles without getting wet feet. Fourth and perhaps most important is the toe box. I had shoes that were so tight they chafed ridiculously and caused burns and lacerations on my toes. Not this one. So many places. The ideal amount. I can practically cut my toes in these shoes. Possibly the best trail running shoe I've ever owned.

Pros
  • comfort!
Cons
  • It lacks responsiveness, making running over rough terrain difficult.
