4GB vs 8GB on traditional laptops
I decided to upgrade the RAM from 8GB to 16GB. When I opened the laptop and removed the RAM. The sticker says 4GB RAM. I paid for 8GB not 4GB. Also, Windows is showing 8GB of RAM instead of 4GB, so something is fishy here. Either the label is wrong or Windows somehow reads it as 8GB and not 4GB. I would stay away from this laptop as I'm not sure if it's a manufacturer or retailer issue, but those looking for a laptop with at least 8GB of RAM should probably look elsewhere.
