Review on FYY Leather Case with Apple Pencil Holder: Protective Flip Folio Stand for 2019 iPad Air 3 & 2017 iPad Pro 10.5 inch - Magenta by Ronald Cambridge

I will update this review when I use the case a little longer. These are my main thoughts after wearing the case on my new iPad Pro 10.5 for a day. First of all I would like to say that I have had a FYY case on my latest iPad for almost 18 months and I love this case. I was happy to find it for my new iPad Pro and hoped it would resemble my latest case. The previous case had a suede-like texture that gave it a good grip when holding or carrying an iPad. This case has a smoother feel but still feels like a decent quality material. Time will tell if it has scuffs or scratches. The stitching and construction feel solid. I really like the color and the two-tone design. This is an attractive body. The main disadvantage is that the edges of the case cover part of the new iPad Pro's screen. There are areas I can't click without trying to stretch or slide the case out of the way. The sleep/wake function is not working for me at the moment. I'll keep fiddling around and see if I can get this to work properly. If this is not possible I will request a refund as in this case it is a serious defect. I don't like the magnetic tab they added to this case. In my last case, the magnetic clasp (which also assisted the sleep/wake function) kept the case closed properly. The new case doesn't have a very strong magnet inside the case itself, and the magnetic tab just gets in the way. I wish the pencil loop was inside the magnetic pull tab simply because it would be more secure and give me a reason to like the pull tab more. I don't care about the loop on the handle either, but it's detachable, so ok. If someone likes it, they can pin it. I hope the company uses the feedback from these reviews to improve this case. My first FYY case was my favorite after trying MANY cases and it held up well for a long time. I hope to see the same quality product from them for the next generation iPad. **UPDATE: I've added a star to this review thanks to FYY's outstanding customer service. I contacted them because the sleep/wake function is not working for me. They responded within hours, apologizing for the defect and saying they would send me a new case. This is a sign of a great company behind their product! ** 2nd update - 08/30/17 I had a case a few months ago. Overall I'm still happy with it. With daily use, it still looks like new. There were no scuffs or scratches. The seams and construction are still in order. I still love the color! The replacement case mentioned above still didn't activate the sleep/wake function. I took my iPad to the Apple Store and tried it on one of their cases to make sure my iPad wasn't the problem. It looks like the sleep/wake magnets weren't positioned accurately in an early version of this case. I hope FYY fixed this issue. I started liking the pen holder. It's safe and in a good location. It didn't stretch at all. I also got used to the magnetic closure and it doesn't bother me anymore. It doesn't bother when the iPad case is open. The main cons, besides, the sleep/wake mode does not work. As already mentioned, the case partially covers the edges of the screen. It still annoys me. My biggest complaint is not being able to support the iPad from multiple angles like I can with my other cases. This case only stays upright in a vertical position, which isn't a good angle for surfing, typing, or surfing. Due to the slick pocket material inside the case, it doesn't stand at the angle I prefer. Added two photos for review. You show an angle that works. The other shows the angle I would prefer and you can see I have to hold it with my hand. Otherwise it will slip. My previous FYY case (an older iPad model) had suede on the inside, including the pocket, so the case stayed in whatever vertical position I placed it in. I still rate this case 3.5 stars (rounded up). to 4) in overall quality and price. Haven't found another worthy of replacing this case yet. I'll keep looking as manufacturers have more time to perfect their designs.
