Review on 📱 Vankey Universal Cellphone Telescope Adapter Mount for Spotting Scope, Telescope, Microscope, Monocular, Binocular - Compatible with iPhone, Samsung, HTC, LG, and More by Antonio Fox

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Happy with the purchase.

I was initially offered the cheapest model. It was very easy to use and connect to my S21 Ultra phone. The problem was that it holds the phone with a spring and is very tight. Having just received my phone I didn't want to risk breaking the spring and scratching it. The seller was great and let me get the next model with tension adjustment screws. Much better. Not only do both mount perfectly to my telescope, they also have a tripod mounting hole on the side. So it's like 2 mounts in one. Now the other problem, as many have pointed out, is that it's difficult to attach a camera phone to the aperture of a telescope. My S21 ultra has about 5 cameras which software seems to select based on zoom settings. So aligning the correct camera hole is difficult. I put my telescope in the kitchen so lots of light can enter the lens. Then I put my phone in and adjusted the zoom settings so I could use it outdoors. Finally, I adjusted the mount so I could see through the camera and into the lens. I tightened everything, took it out and was able to see Jupiter the way I wanted.

Pros
  • Appropriate mobile phone width
Cons
  • Minor problems
