was corrupt My setup was a bit unique. I wanted to install a third brake light on a '93 Subaru Sambar (an imported kei truck originally destined for Japan). This one I found was small enough to fit in and looked great. The Sambar's cab has only one rear light, which is designed to illuminate everything in the back of the truck. So with a little sheet metal cutting and wiring. I installed this little flashlight and it works great as a brake light. I also wired it up so that it can work as both a reverse light and a bed light on the original switch. But I'm disappointed with how weak the reversing light is. I know my use case is not the original purpose but I thought I'd share my experience in case someone else finds it useful. It's probably noticeable enough for someone to know you're backing up. I didn't notice a big difference in brightness between the parking light and the brake light either. Since I didn't need a running light for my use, it wasn't a big deal, just a warning if I did.
