Bought this microphone a few years ago and am very happy with it. The sound quality is clear with good bass. This type of mic needs to be pointed at your subject, so it's best to keep the subject stationary or have a boom operator hold the mic around your sound source. Mine connects directly to my Canon Vixia HFS200 via a 3.5mm audio jack. Since this microphone uses an XLR cable, you will need to use a converter for this. Use "GLS Audio 25' Mic Cable Patch Cords" for XLR connections (also available here at Revain). In this configuration, you must also provide phantom power from a single AA battery that you insert into the microphone.
