Review on πŸ”‘ 2-Pack Key Fob Shell Case with Free Screwdriver - Honda Accord Civic EX Pilot Keyless Entry Remote Key Housing Replacement (Black) by Keith Leach

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Finally a good way to fix crappy key fobs for our 2009 Accord!

Hooray! We struggled for 5 years with our 2009 Accord LX keys. The plastic covers ripped in several places, the screws fell out, so since 2014 we have been driving the car with plastic key covers held together with rubber bands. The keys were the least secure part of the car! Installing new skins on our 2 old keys took 10 minutes max. Tip 1: When fitting new shells onto a metal key, first snap the shell onto the end opposite the metal key. Tip 2: The screw holes in the case and the metal key do not match perfectly, but if you keep the screw upright when screwing it in, it will be installed correctly. I discounted the product for durability just because I only discontinued it for a few hours today, but the buttons work, are definitely more comfortable to use and NO BANDS! If I had to replace these shells every 2 years for less than $10 I wouldn't complain.

Pros
  • Top marks for hold and durability from testers
Cons
  • Crumpled
