So I have 2 furry kittens who love this cat house. However safety is paramount so I plugged it in for 2 hours to see if it got too hot. I can definitely tell he's warming up, but not enough to bother me. It took about 15 minutes for each cat to check it out and sit in it, not knowing it was hot. As soon as each of them realized that it was going to be hot, they didn't want to leave or they would lose their place. Ha ha. It arrived boxed with no disappointments which is ok as there is no difference between it and the retail box. Well there was a difference, it's half the price of the retail package. It opens and you put a pillow on top and inside. The pillow that goes in is the heated part of this cat house. It has a cord that fits into a standard outlet but is perfect for pulling through a small gap in the house. The heated cushion only activates when it feels the weight of a kitten or small dog and turns off after they leave. Top cushions and high quality materials. The heating function is a fantastic bonus for your furry balls and they will definitely love it! You can't go wrong buying this as both you and your companion will be completely satisfied!
