Review on 360° Phone and Tablet Stand Holder by Mark Greenwood

I use my tablet to record videos in the online courses I teach and as a Lucida camera to create accurate drawings. For both purposes I need to position the tablet precisely and then lock it securely in that position. I've tried several other stands and tried using items around the house to hold my tablet but to no avail. This stand is worth it. It is durable and well made. The spring-loaded tablet (or phone) holder is comfortable to use and fits a variety of sizes. With all that said, let me give you some advice. The instructions accompanying the product are somewhat incomplete. First of all, they're pretty specific, from how you put the components together, to the point where you need to attach the part that holds the device to the stand. The instructions tell you to do it, but they don't tell you how. Turns out there's a rubber nut on the end of the stand that needs to be unscrewed and removed (it doesn't look like it needs to be removed). When you remove it, there is a screw inside that fits into the head of the device holder. Once you've done that, take some time to look at the parts of it and get an idea of how they curve in relation to each other. What I didn't understand at first were the knurled rings around the long legs of the stand. I wondered if they lengthened the poles but that turned out not to be true. They allow the bars to rotate when you loosen the ring. This is useful when positioning the tablet, but be careful as they are full of lube that gets on your hand. Depending on the weight of your device, you may need to position the stand's arms to achieve proper balance, which takes some practice but is true with any of the stands.
