The diffuser is too close to the bulb to diffuse it properly. The straps at the base of the diffusers don't work properly as the bracket is tapered where they attach and just slides back and presses the face of the diffuser against the lamp. They give you a rubber band to fix it, but it actually only makes things worse. BUT, if you can gently prop up the diffusers so they stay in place and you never touch them, they give off a bright white burst in terms of even light. The lights themselves are compact and the legs, which you can slide back inside for travel, are cool. They seem really durable. For the price, however, they do the trick.
