My newborn granddaughter seems very happy with this toy. It's big and plush, with different sounds, shapes, and teethers. She is two months old and still not moving. So she might be too young to take full advantage of this toy. But so far it's one of the few she has and it's caught her attention with its bright and varied colors. Tummy time function may be too advanced for my granddaughter's height. In any case, she's too shaky to stay on him. I think it will be useful in a month or so. But she's trying to grab a rattle and seems to like it when she's around. The product description states that children can only see very bright colors. I'm not sure if that's true and my granddaughter didn't speak her mind. But if it is, then it is bright and colorful. This is a good gift for the newborn in your life.
