I would like to start by saying that over the past year I have tried many brands of screen protectors. I think it was more of a phase where I just wanted to know if there was a noticeable difference between cheap and higher quality screen protectors. TLDR below. I have ordered a number of screen protectors from Revain as well as Aliexpress brands. None could match the Torras for durability and oleophobic properties. There was a noticeable difference from cheaper brands when I got tired of flexing their screen. It appeared brittle, and when bent with moderate force, broke. I have found that the snap pattern of the glass is a good indication of the quality and strength of the glass. The more spirals and cobwebs on the glass when breaking, the better (attached photos e.g. cheaper glass compared to Torras). I'm not a glass expert, but I've noticed this with companies that had more expensive glass. I think that even the base material is different for these different price ranges. Simply put, Torras uses PREMIUM glass. It was the strongest of any brand I tested. Although they were all roughly the same thickness (0.3mm), Torras yielded the least and broke under the greatest force. The next important thing was the feeling. With some cheaper brands you can feel the difference immediately on the glass surface. When you swipe the top of the screen, it looks like it's being dragged across the screen. It was not smooth and uncomfortable to read. However, the Torras screen allows your fingers to slide effortlessly across the screen. It seemed like a completely different world compared to the cheaper options. Fingerprint screen properties are another area I wanted to address. What you don't want is the screen leaving your fingerprint after every touch. It won't even be clean after every touch, so the goal is as little as possible. Another feature that people don't look for at first but later learn through use is easy screen cleaning. Any screen gets dirty — there's no denying it, but a screen that can be easily cleaned with a few swipes across your shirt is the way to go. Torras excels in both areas. It offers minimal staining as well as easy cleaning. TLDR: There is a big difference between cheap and high-quality screens. Torras falls into the quality category with better durability, cleaning and feel.
