Review on Manfrotto Element Traveller Aluminum 5 Section by Brian Olson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good tripod - comparable to larger model

I bought both this model and the larger one (Element Traveler Big) as there aren't many reviews and I figured a lighter tripod might work better. The biggest downside for me is that the smaller tripod (this review) doesn't have a detachable leg that converts into a monopod. Also, it doesn't fall very low to the ground. However, this tripod is very well made, just like its big brother. The legs are noticeably thinner and the ball head is also smaller, but the Arca-Swiss plate is the same size on both. For me, deciding which one to keep is a challenge. The cost and weight reduction of a smaller tripod is a big plus.

Pros
  • Good price
Cons
  • Good but not great

Great compromise between weight and stability
