I'm confused how this product got such good reviews because it didn't work for me at all when I wear it like my Clarks ankle boots My Naturalizer riding boots are adjustable, and the slider that moves to adjust the size sits right on my ankle. When I put the boots on they pressed against my ankle and it was uncomfortable and I'm sure it would hurt if I wore them all day. Also, I had trouble opening the clasps and they have a metal pin on them. Clasps that are pointy and stick out so I pricked my finger on both straps. I'm either using them with the wrong type of shoe or I'm the wrong size for my needs, but I hate them. They technically did what they were made to do so I gave them 2 stars but they were completely useless to me.
