Comparison of four T-shirts

I bought four red T-shirts (of different brands and sizes) at once to compare them in terms of size, quality and comfort. This Dickies shirt was the best of the four and I will be buying this for my husband's shirts. Here are the details: I ordered two Hanes Tagless (Hanes XL shirt plus another large for size comparison), a Russell Athletic (large) and a Dickies (large). Large is my husband's usual size but based on other reviews I wasn't sure if Hanes Large would fit. As expected, the Hanes Large is 1.5 inches smaller than this Dickies shirt (shoulder to shoulder) and 1 inch smaller than the Russell Athletic shirt. In fact, the Hanes EXTRA-LARGE and this Dickies LARGE were exactly the same size. This Dickies shirt fits my husband a little loose, just how he loves his shirts. Both Hanes shirts were vastly inferior in quality to this Dickies shirt and the Russell Athletic shirt. Out of all four shirts, the fabric of this Dickies shirt felt very soft and was very stretchy - not itchy at all - and therefore much more comfortable to wear. This is definitely my husband's favorite. One of the Hanes shirts is made from a material so stiff and scratchy (after washing) that I doubt I will ever trust Hanes shirts again. Came out of the dryer with creases in the cotton due to the stiffness of the fabric. Another Hanes shirt (same style but different size and shade of red) was made from a slightly softer material, but none of the Hanes shirts came anywhere near the fabric quality of the Dickies and Russell shirts. The Russell shirt wasn't as pretty, but much better than the two Hanes shirts. Personally, at least in the form in which they are now being produced, I won't be buying anything but Dicky for the foreseeable future. Great shirt, soft cotton, loose fit!
