I think others with wire frames seem easier to tighten or loosen, but I was afraid they might not stay in place or get too lost. I put my frame in the smaller hole. Don't worry, just stick the thick bezel into the narrow hole, it should go through as it's like a flexible rubber material. Then I pull the strap over the narrower part of the frame near the ear. I can then easily slide and adjust to a tighter or losing position, but it stays safe so it doesn't lose little by little. It is possible that after a few years the elasticity will decrease or the hole will lose its shape but this one came with a spare so I can use this strap for a few years until I need to replace it. The frames of my glasses are black and this strap came in black so making it look solid wasn't a problem. Because it's stretchy like rubber, but not too stretchy, just right, it's easy to slip on and off and then adjust as needed. All in all a great design with simple adjustments.
