Bolsters have no support and will not stand on their own in any way (I understand they are designed for a cage they fit in and initially work fine). White was on offer but it was a big mistake in terms of cleaning (again my fault. Nuff said about cleaning.) Actually not enough was said about cleaning, and back to my previous comment about performance; after a bit of digging and scratching by the dog's paws and the first wash, the rolls became "lumpy" and didn't fit in the cage. A large dog goes through these things very quickly so I have a hard time turning the product off, but it's definitely not perfect. I use single rolls in smaller dog cages and I like them better and they also work as bedding outside of the cage.
