Review on πŸ’‘ Sylvania ZEVO 1156 White LED Bulb - Pack of 2: Enhanced Brightness and Performance by Justin Ferguson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Best LED bulb replacement I have found so far

I bought Phillips, LASFIT and Sylvania 1157 tail/brake light bulbs and compared them to my 1998 car's tail light reflector which used for P21W bulbs or 1157- Lamps was designed. The Phillips Vision has a fully reflective design and they were very dim in both taillight and brake light modes. Lightbulbs were so much brighter than each other that they seemed like a worthless novelty. However, they are better than the modified Vision-X brand LED bulbs that I bought in 2011. The LASFIT 1157 lamps, whose LED emitters face the reflectors, directed sideways and obliquely backwards, are much brighter than the Philips Vision. The reflected light is not as bright as that from an incandescent bulb, but there is a spot of more intense direct light from the rear-facing emitters. Sylvania ZEVO is a fully reflective design. It produces significantly more reflected light than LASFIT and slightly more than an incandescent lamp. There is a dark spot from the radiator, but it is surrounded by far more light than any other bulb produced. The benefit of using reflectors over direct light is more even light distribution and no hot spots that could dazzle or bother other drivers. Lightbulbs. The advantages of LEDs are: - lower power consumption, which is particularly important when the headlights are left on without the motor and alternator to keep the battery charged. - Faster brake light (no filament warm-up delay) - Longer lifespan (less chance of bulb failure due to filament fatigue or vibration damage) and longer bulb replacement intervals. After evaluating three brands of 1157, I decided to buy Sylvania ZEVO for other lamps (mainly 1156) for this car. .
