The fit was pretty good. Pretty much true in width but half the size of many other brands (which might mean they are true to size as many others run small these days). You may need to order the "correct" size and then return the size that fits you, but this applies to most shoes. Don't wear them outside if they don't fit you - get the right size! I tried three different pairs from the "Gowalk" range and they all had the same problem. I felt that they were too high on the outer edge, causing my foot to pierce more than it normally would. I felt it on my ankle and knee as I tried them on and walked across the living room. The outsole of this model has soft posts in the middle that seem to be somehow bonded and I don't think they will stay. attached. The Max had the most durable outsole of the three Gowalk shoes I tried, but none of them were super durable. I also tried one of their "Sport" running shoes and found that it had a firmer rubber outsole with good traction and made less attempt to control my gait with the same fit. This is the one I'm going with.
