I used this project twice. The first time I left it for the minimum time and did not try the suggestions left in the reviews. It was good but I still felt the roughness. The second time I followed another person's advice and washed my feet beforehand (45 minutes) and then left for the maximum time. I also did the trick of soaking everyday just by closing the shower (I just used a zipper with a shampoo bottle on it). My results were amazing the second time! Super soft feet after wearing sandals and flip flops for the summer! When it started peeling off, I tried an exfoliating washcloth to further peel away the flaky skin. Bottom line: you may need to adjust the time and soaking based on how dry your feet are, but this works great once you get the hang of it!
