Review on Shockproof Protective Cover For OnePlus 7T Pro/7 Pro - Poetic Revolution Series With Kickstand & Built-In Screen Protector, Pink by Jennifer Scott

Great protection, minor hiccups

I put my phones through a lot and with the new (and more expensive) OP 7 Pro having a glass back, curved screen and a size that is too big for my hands I was very worried about breaking it within a few weeks of use. I have had this case for about 7 months now and I mainly chose it because it seemed to be the toughest case I could find at the time. The case is BIG and certainly makes the phone bulky (see the picture of the phone on top of it to see the added size) however, after all this time with it I am very happy with my purchase. In the past 7 months my phone has fallen multiple times from a lot of different heights (e.g., my bedside table, my office desk, my lap -when suddenly standing up and forgetting I had my phone on top of my legs-, and my hands when walking and accidentally dropping it), and surfaces (carpet and pavement). There wasn't any occasion in which the case would break apart (at most the stand would open up), and more importantly, my phone is still in pristine condition (even after face-planting on pavement). There was even a time in which I scratched the screen with some scissors (I was holding them against my phone screen when I was working on an art project), I noticed the very deep scratch later on (you can see it in the upper center area of some of my case pictures) and was worried that I had cut through the screen protector and damaged the screen underneath. After taking my phone out of the case I was relieved to notice there wasn't a single scratch on my phone. Overall I am really pleased and have recommended it to friends. Now, the cons of this case:-The screen protection basically makes the fingerprint scan useless (no matter how clean are the screen and the case plastic, more often than not my fingerprints did not match and had to unlock manually).-The charging port and the space for the slider were covered and whenever I wanted to access them I would have to lift the section of the case that covers them, it was not hard, but annoying to do single-handedly, so I ended up cutting them off with some scissors.*Not really a con, but I do love the look of the phone and with the case, you basically cover everything up. I know Poetic has some clear back cases as well so I might give one of those a try (I do really like the phone stand though).

Pros
  • Espectacular
Cons
  • The built-in screen protector might not adhere well to the phone over time, leading to air bubbles and visual distortions
