Spring. its definitely not a privacy screen
i am so confused i had one like this before and its usually a black screen on the side but on this one you can still see everything on my screen it's just a little blurry. I'm not sure if mine is defective or maybe I misread the description of this item. I would also like to add that your phone overheats badly, even with the brightness turned down your screen gets very hot. This will significantly reduce the lifespan of your phone.
