I have one of these stylish rear view mirrors in all 4 of our cars. This gives you a very nice wider view of the windshield from the rearview mirror. Too bad cars don't live up to this style standard. Instead, if you simply look straight back, you can see in all directions with a much wider view. It doesn't take long to get used to. The only downside would be automatically dimming your mirrors or displaying temperature or direction in your mirror. This covers that and not auto dimming. I also had plastic ones, which broke after a few years of exposure to heat and cold. Having just received this I can't say how long it will last but I'm glad I have it. The clearance for the fixed clamps is wider than the spring side. Since there isn't really a top or bottom, place it however you want it to fit the shape of your mirror and don't press any buttons it might have.
