Review on 🔆 Dewenwils 10-Pack Dimmable Halogen Equivalent: Brilliant Lighting Solution at Your Fingertips by Victoria Gomez

These GU10s are amazingly affordable, about half what you would normally pay at a hardware store. All 10 of my lamps arrived in working condition. I haven't had them running for too long so can't comment on premature burnout, but will update this review if that is the case. I haven't tried it with a dimmer either. They give off a fairly warm light, maybe warmer than the advertised 3000K (maybe around 2800-2900K). Note that traditional halogen bulbs burn at 3200K so they are noticeably warmer when placed side by side. for them, which is interesting (conventional incandescent bulbs turn yellow-orange at warmer color temperatures, not rose-pink like these). This effect is NOT noticeable if you don't have a reference lamp. So when those bulbs are the only ones in the room, everything looks pretty normal. Color reproduction is generally decent, but greens are a bit undersaturated. It is 80+ CRI which is suitable for daily use; 90+ is preferred for accurate color reproduction. The beam pattern is listed as 40 degrees but looks a little wider than my other brands' 40 degree GU10s. Not critical, but remember this is somewhere between a spot and a tide. This can be a problem if you have track lights mounted very high on the 2nd floor or vaulted ceiling. You can't steer the beam as precisely as you'd like. If you're doing general area lighting it doesn't matter, but if you want to focus it on artwork or other specific areas there will be a lot of spread. Having said that, I still rate this 5 stars because it is EXTREMELY good value for money. All my problems can be solved by buying more expensive lamps. But for general everyday use, especially if you need a lot of GU10 in the household, they serve their purpose perfectly and are very economical.
