Who would have thought someone would be stupid enough to put tight cap nuts on an RS-232 connector? This effectively makes it impossible to connect this cable to ANY female RS-232 port on ANY of my devices, unless I might break the nuts (the only visible way to remove them). Of course, the picture shows this cable plugged into some sort of RS-232 reverse jack that I've never seen in over 30 years. I think I'm ashamed that I didn't look at the picture, didn't take into account that the nuts are tight and thought the manufacturer was following established convention. Added 12/23, the cable was returned and a refund issued. Many Thanks.
