All heating elements of this type are the same when it comes to heat. They all consume the same amount of electricity and convert it into resistance heat. I like this model because of the thermostat. It features an accurate digital thermostat that turns on and off reliably to maintain the set temperature. You can get a cheaper heater with a simple thermostat. But it may stick or turn on and off after the temperature changes a lot. I use it in winter (on low) to increase the temperature in the basement. Also ideal for a caravan. Advantages: accurate thermostat, quiet fan. Cons: You MUST read the instructions to find out how to set the mode: fan only, here, hello, temp rise, hello, then low auto mode. - Chris-Chris
