Review on ๐ŸŽต Ultimate Multiroom Audio System: Bang & Olufsen Beosound Stage Soundbar & Beosound Balance Speaker by Rick Everett

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Gets approval from my audiophile pal

I think the main question anyone will ask before ordering something like this is if it's worth the price of 2,000 stickers. Short answer: It's worth it. The sound quality is impeccable. Very clear, nuanced highs. And surprisingly warm bottoms. I appreciate the minimalist, modern look. On your bookshelf, some may not even realize at first that this is a loudspeaker. What's really interesting about the speaker is its ability to adjust the sound based on location. I could unpack it, turn it on. I downloaded the app and was able to connect it via Bluetooth without any problems. The magic is that the speaker uses their own microphones to determine where they are in the room (against a wall or surrounded by nothing). And adjust the tone accordingly. Something none of my Bose products can do. Speaking of Bose, I'm not exactly new to high-end home audio. But I wouldn't describe myself as a real audiophile. I would name this label after one of my buddies who works as an audio engineer in the music industry. He told me that Bang & Olufsen has been in this business for about a century. Which is not surprising considering the quality of the Beosound Balance. But after playing with a variety of music, he was deeply impressed. He felt the price was justified, his only disappointment being that it would be too expensive for him to buy three at once (he likes to have everything in a Google Home setup). Yes, the price is high. But then, as with many other things in life, you get what you pay for. When you add a Beosound Balance to your home, you get a Bugatti, not a Chevy Spark. If quality is what you deserve, then it's worth it. I find it somewhat doubtful that the only negative review on this speaker is from a brand new account with a product review, and besides, it looks like user error. But don't take my word for it. Order one for yourself, try it at home. Handy if it's not what you expected you can just return it. But you won't know until you have it at home, so give it a try.
