Epson T277120 Epson Claria Photo HD 277 Standard-capacity Black Ink Cartridge (T277120) Ink This is a brand new cartridge (received less than a week ago). The first printings were light reddish in color, not black. But, I was desperate to print so I did not remove and return. Now the black is printing HARDLY AT ALL. Some sketchy illegible markings on the page. There have been a maximum of 15 pages printed from this cartridge (and trying to be fair I am rounding up). The Ink Levels on the printer show the cartridge as full.[As a sidebar: In desperation, tried to buy this cartridge from two brick & mortar stores. They do not stock it.]I will try to return the cartridge but my printer is not working so I will need to go pay a copy center to use their computer to print the Return Slip! Epson sends non-functioning cartridges and does not want us to purchase cartridges from other vendors. What is their plan?Update: I applied a drop of water (more like half a drop) to the ink pad (since inkjet dye inks are aqueous) waited a couple of hours for the water to sink in and now the cartridge works. This, however, does not change my review.
