Review on KUKPO Stainless Steel Potato Masher with Wide Horizontal Handle – Fine-mesh Mashing Plate for Creamy Mashed Potatoes, Vegetables, and Fruits by Wendy Key

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Harder to use than expected, but still good

I like that the levers are one piece so the puree doesn't get stuck in the seams. I had a hard time with this pusher in a tall, hot pot. It was supposed to be easier on the hands than the old pen, but I found it more uncomfortable. It was harder to press and I kept tipping over, sending my knuckles to the hot sides. Maybe my potatoes should have been even softer than they already were to make them easier to knead, but the muscles you use with this type of grip work mostly on the forearm and triceps and not also the biceps of the old grip and Triceps are usually weaker. . I suspect the small holes mixing with the larger ones contributed to the tougher pulp. But the product in the form of puree was great. Much better than my long dead round head abs. Not top notch, but way better than the absless ones I've had before. I'll take another reviewer's advice and don't let this item soak, lest it rust. Stainless steel shouldn't rust, but I've seen it happen before, so it's best to be careful.
