As you can see from the picture the colors are quite bright and can be slightly muted (5 or 6 colors) not shown here). I love the versatility of this tool compared to other watercolor products I own. This works really well for completing illustrations and doing detail work! The only thing I would like is a nice bag or case that will fit the consumables. The box just doesn't fit me when I'm showing my painting supplies in my studio. A signature bag or box would be a cool item that would go well with everything else I have. At the moment the tips of these brush pens are similar to others and difficult to distinguish when looking at my studio. Definitely worth the price for what you get. A great starter set for anyone who enjoys working with watercolours. I prefer pens because I have more control over them and they work better for me, so they're not for everyone. If you are used to classic watercolor painting, this may seem uncomfortable at first.
