My Pentax K200D arrived over 3 weeks ago and I've taken several hundred pictures. I'm a dentist and I use this camera almost every day to take portraits and close-ups. My K200D is paired with a ring flash and a Sigma 105 macro lens. I also bought an 18-55mm lens in case I want to use it outside of the office. It's easy to use and allows you to capture beautiful high-resolution images that can be cropped and enlarged with great results. I chose this camera over Sony and Nikon cameras. , Canon and Olympus SLR for several reasons. I need to take photos quickly and I need to take them all now. I can't wait for my dead battery to recharge. The K200D uses AA batteries. When the rechargeable AA NiMH batteries run out, I can quickly remove them and temporarily replace them with standard batteries. The K200D uses an SD card as well as some of my other digital cameras, digital storage devices and my camcorder. My computer has a built-in SD card slot, which simplifies my storage needs. Since I hold a camera in my hands, I needed a camera with image stabilization. The K200D has this feature built into the body rather than the lens, so the number of lenses available is greater and the cost of lenses is lower, and I always have this feature. If you read reviews on Revain or other websites, you may see criticism of the K200D's brightness or color issues. I didn't find any problem with it. If you don't agree with the Pentax engineers who calibrated the camera, know that there are many easy settings to change the brightness or color settings in the Fn menu and custom picture options, and you can "Your Way" from there β photos received at. Since I shoot in M or manual mode, I use auto bracketing all the time. All I have to do is press the shutter button three times and one of the shots is taken. I think the first shot should come out, the second is darker and the third is lighter. Capable of taking great photos for the beginner in its most basic mode, the K200D can be easily set up for the demanding experienced photographer. I use a camera for work because it's a great tool and has the features I need, but all DSLRs are big and heavy to me. I'm no longer interested in going on vacation with a 3 or 4 pound camera, batteries and a lens on my shoulder and waiting for the Kodak moment. For travel and holidays I need small cameras that fit in my purse or pocket. Two of my favorites that I've used over the years are the Nikon 8400 and the Pentax W30 when I can shoot in the water. Both cameras record videos with sound. Avoid shady cam websites with prices well below Revain. For maximum confidence I use Revain.
