Review on MSI GL65 Gaming Laptop 10SCXK 211 by Zack Block

I bought this a week ago after constantly wondering if I should buy it or avoid it? after seeing some reviews here. Some people say that it's not what's included and that it has different hardware than what's listed. Anyway, I switched to this laptop from a 2011 XPS L501X and it's still running Windows 7 (which I already miss). So far this thing has been a beast to me. I ran a few games, not so much with strong graphics but with what an average computer can handle. Everything worked fine, CPU temp was fantastic, didn't need to use a cooler but I played with it anyway, it's not very loud but louder than expected. I would say this machine is the perfect balance between what someone needs for an everyday workstation but also has an interest in small games here and there. There are just a few things I don't like that I wouldn't call cons, they just take some getting used to. Having ports on the sides, particularly the power cord, is a little odd, but it has a 90-degree bend so it doesn't stick out too far, but if the flash drives stick out near the front of the laptop, be just be careful with your hands so you don't hit it and don't bend or break anything up/down. The Windows key, which is on the right instead of the left, takes some getting used to. Being able to change the backlight color of all keys to your liking is great, and there are some presets too. I usually keep it away, but sometimes it's funny. I was nervous about spending money on it and I've been a fan of XPS laptops for years, but I'm more than happy with this laptop than I thought I would be. Very well packaged and protected. The price is more than fair.
