I have dog bells but they are not sturdy enough. Also, we keep him in a white noise and soundproof room at night so he won't let up since we are night people. The problem was that due to the extra soundproofing, privacy and white noise, we couldn't hear if he needed an emergency potty break. There it happens. It comes with two touchpads. one in his night-room, the other upstairs. So we always know when he has to leave. I really don't know how people get dogs without it. I suppose you just take it out often or wait for a zumi or some other sign. Take it.
