I got this for my elderly mother (who was spilling drinks, and could no longer tip a cup up far enough to drink from). I wanted something that she could keep in bed with her, but that would not spill or leak.It did not spill or leak, even being left on its side in a pile of blankets all nHowever, she could not get a handle on how to drink from it. I had no trouble drinking from this cup, but other individuals i had try it out, also had difficulty figuring it out. Probably different for young children more used to sippy cups, idk?While testing its spill proof capabilities, it preformed quite well, even being dropped from several feet up. However, if it lands completely on its cover (as it did for me being knocked off a coffee table), the impact is enough to force out a small amount of liquid around the entire ring. I had to try dropping it many times before i got it to land perfectly for this to happen though.
