Produces a good artistic surface for mixed digital and traditional media.

I am an artist who typically uses fine art quality Bristol paper for my work. I wanted Bristol paper, which didn't come in a spiral bound notebook, so I could sketch and layout on the computer and print in cyan. Then I draw, scan and edit the blue lines on the computer. This gives me traditional lines and effects with positioning options for digital sketches, compositions and layouts. That's great for my purposes. It's not as high quality as the Bristol I usually use for ink, but it takes ink well. Inkjet color does not bleed when Indian inks and other media are added. The surface is smooth like the thicker Bristol strips. It's also a great practice surface (and priced to match artistic practice). I suppose my usage is a bit more specific than "greeting cards and photo printing" so thought I'd share my experience. This is decent art paper and I can't argue with the price. It's a lot thinner than traditional Art Bristol and a little thinner than regular card stock so keep that in mind. It's definitely thicker than regular printer paper and about twice as strong as thick heavyweight paper. Again, just what I need to get the job done no matter what. I think if I needed the strength of cardboard I would look for real cardboard that could actually hold some weight. But for printing somewhere between printer paper and cardboard, this is excellent quality.

Pros
  • Bristol Paper and Parchment
