The two bulbs in this packaging work like regular bulbs. That's the nicest thing I can say. To be honest, the installation seemed unnecessarily cumbersome. I wanted to connect it directly to the Alexa app, but in the instructions I downloaded the app for that particular brand of lightbulb since there wasn't an easy way to just have Alexa detect new lightbulbs, or at least it wasn't mentioned in the documentation. I then had to create a new account with a new company with my email address to be used for marketing purposes and I had to create a new password that I would never know. remember (except for the vulgarity, which I ended up using out of desperation). THEN I was able to connect to Alexa, but only after syncing that account to my Alexa account, which I'd rather not do. I found it a lot of work and a brand new app to easily connect two lightbulbs to the Alexa Ecosphere. On the plus side, once Alexa recognized me, I could easily group two lightbulbs together (they're both in the same lightbulb) and turn them on and off as one lightbulb. Now that they're connected, they have the ease of use I've come to expect from an Alexa-connected device, but I swear on my life I don't understand why it was so difficult to set up, except for my email. and password information from me. I warn you I missed it if there is an easier way to add them directly from Alexa without creating a whole new account and waiting almost 20 minutes to set them both up and while it may be my fault, it is not clearly marked in a rather confusing documentation that came with the bulbs. So overall I would give it 5 stars. I would give 2 stars for the setting and find it very generous. It was frustrating enough for me to avoid this brand going forward due to the attitudes.
