Works great, except you need an app to control it if you don't have Alexa or Google Home

This is an LED lamp which is equivalent to a 60W incandescent lamp. But it's much nicer; not only because it consumes less energy, but also because it is a smart lightbulb with a built-in dimmer. Download the app and control the lightbulb from anywhere. It was easy to set up and use. However, the app can be negative unless everyone in the house uses it. Works with My Smart Life App

Review by: Alexa and Google Home Compatible Lepro LED Smart Bulbs Equivalent to 60W Dimmable I have the Smart Life app on my phone and iPad and it controls all the smart devices in my house. After receiving these lightbulbs, I decided to try and get them working with Smart Life, despite the instructions telling me to use a different app. I was able to get the light to blink rapidly by toggling it on and off from time to time. That means it is looking for a connection and in fact smartlife found

Oh great, another app I can download and transfer personal information.

The two bulbs in this packaging work like regular bulbs. That's the nicest thing I can say. To be honest, the installation seemed unnecessarily cumbersome. I wanted to connect it directly to the Alexa app, but in the instructions I downloaded the app for that particular brand of lightbulb since there wasn't an easy way to just have Alexa detect new lightbulbs, or at least it wasn't mentioned in the documentation. I then had to create a new account with a new company with my email address to be…
