Review on Heavy-Duty FRUITEAM Patio Umbrella Base For 6-9 Ft Table Umbrellas With Fillable Weight And Sturdy Steel Pole by Jason Peterson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Super heavy and solid - fill it right and get up to 80+ lbs!

I filled my base up to 80+ lbs. easily by cutting a 1-gallon pool chorine bottle in half to make a funnel. The pool chorine bottles from Lowes and Home Depot have nice threaded caps that I threaded right into the umbrella base. With the funnel in place, I was able to scoop almost 1.5 bags of playground sand into this base. (A bag of playground sand is 50lbs). It was slow but not difficult. After that, I filled the remaining space with water.I have my 9' straight umbrella set up on this base and it's solid. Of coarse during high winds, you should still close your patio umbrella for safety reasons. This base is great and has a compression type top ring. Once the umbrella pole is inserted, tighten the top ring to hold the pole nice and tight. Good to go for the summer!

Pros
  • Fairly basic. Nice decorative based stand. Pretty good quality and value.
Cons
  • The price of the base is too high compared to other similar products on the market
