Zoe is a 15 year old Doberman/Blue Healer mix. For the first time, Zoe began to shiver as winter temperatures approached. Zoya walks slowly and needs a lot of rest breaks. I bought an XL Derby Originals dog coat and Zoe loved it. It covers her chest, back and sides, and the coat does not interfere with walking. She's already having trouble moving. The Derby Originals coat blocks the wind, protects Zoe from rain and snow and gives her extra insulation. My only concern is that Zoe's bare stomach will get cold if she lays straight on the floor during her rest break. I just bought a dog fleece jacket to put on as an intermediate layer between Zoe and this quilt style coat. I hope this keeps Zoey warm and protects her from the cold floor when she rests.
